Once I switched back to the auto setting for game mode everything started working again. I deleted my entire hue ecosystem and got no where, but the second I put the audio in standard mode I could connect again (still with a tiny bit of latency on the sync color changes). I switched game mode from auto to off, and for whatever reason the interference was so strong the sync box would give the message you posted, and sometimes give me like 10 seconds of sync and then it would just lag switching colors until it said it wasn't connected. The setting was the game mode setting and to a lesser extent the adaptive sound mode (with q symphony). not sure why a lot of people are experiencing issues with having to reset it etc. It turned out to be a crazy setting on my samsung TV that I recently changed.
